Alan Beychok
President/CEO


Alan Beychok founded Benchmark Brands, Inc. in 1989 following an extensive career in brand marketing and product development. He holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Alan was the New Products Marketing Director for the Dr. Scholl's and OTC Drug Divisions of Schering-Plough, and held senior marketing management positions with the Shulton division of American Cyanamid, and Holiday Inn Worldwide.

His entrepreneurial spirit has helped grow Benchmark Brands to a company with anticipated revenues of $130 million in 2010.


Ben Bull
Chief Financial Officer


Ben comes to us from Charming Shoppes, Inc., where he served as Vice President/Chief Financial Officer for the Catherines Stores Corporation in Memphis, TN. Catherines is a specialty retailer with total sales of approximately $360 million.

Prior to his work at Catherines, Ben held positions of increasing responsibility at American Retail Group, Inc., a privately owned corporation with several department and specialty retail apparel companies. Ben brings over 30 years of finance and accounting experience to Benchmark Brands. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. Degree from Northern Illinois University.


Trish Tobin
Chief Marketing Officer


As Chief Marketing Officer, Trish Tobin is responsible for the growth and management of FootSmart's Catalog Circulation and Database Marketing, Internet Marketing and the strategy and operations for FootSmart.com.

Trish has over 20 years of Direct Response and Internet Marketing experience and was most recently VP of Internet Marketing for North American Membership Group. In prior roles, Trish was the Chief Marketing Officer of the non-profit Women for Women International, VP of Marketing for Experian’s LowerMyBills.com, and VP of Marketing for AOL. At AOL, she was part of the marketing team that grew AOL subscribers from 5 million to 32 million members with responsibilities in print advertising, alternative media and online marketing acquisition channels as well as leadership of the marketing product management function.

Trish holds a BA from The College of William and Mary and an MBA from Yale School of Management.


Janine Anderson
VP. Footwear


Janine joins Benchmark Brands from Macy’s Central with over 25 years of experience in that organization, where most recently she was the VP, DMM Women’s Footwear. During her career at Macy’s, Janine had various buying roles, moving from Assistant Buyer to DMM Women’s Dresses, Coats, and Suits. Earlier in her career, Janine held various roles at Woodward and Lothrop in Washington, D.C.

Janine has a BS in Business Administration from Florida State University


Anne DeGiorgi
VP, Inventory Planning, Purchasing and Supply Chain


Prior to joining Benchmark Brands, Anne spent 15 years with the Macy’s organization in various merchandising roles. In her last role with Macy’s Corporate, Anne led strategic initiatives to develop new allocation systems. Previously, Anne had a variety of roles including VP/Divisional Director of Planning for Ready to Wear and Children’s, VP/DMM of Accessories, and DMM of Intimate Apparel for Macy’s Central.

Anne has a BS in Education from the University of Virginia.


Jeanne Chatfield
VP Catalog Circulation and Database Marketing


Prior to joining Benchmark Brands, Jeanne was at Ballard Designs, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cornerstone Brands Inc., a family of leading catalog companies for the home, leisure and casual apparel. She led both the catalog and internet marketing initiatives for Ballard Designs for over six years. Prior to joining Ballard Designs, Jeanne spent six years at Hanover Direct Inc., a multi-title catalog company of home fashions, apparel and gift brands. At Hanover Direct, she was Marketing Manger for Gump's by Mail and prior to that she held positions in merchandise analysis and database marketing for the Domestications and Silhouettes titles. Before joining Hanover Direct, Jeanne worked in merchandise analysis at Disney Direct and Brownstone Studio.

Jeannie earned her BA in Financial Management/Economics from The Catholic University of America


John Caplinger
VP Operations


John joined Benchmark Brands from Allconnect Inc. where he worked for 5 years and was VP/GM of Call Center Operations. Benchmark Brands customer contact center services more than 1,000,000 calls per year and is a full-service customer care operation that handles sales and customer service for the company's FootSmart® catalog, as well as calls generated from www.footsmart.com. The contact center also handles customer returns and exchanges, and operates as an information resource for customers seeking product information related to lower body health care conditions.

John holds both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Combined Sciences and a Masters of Science from Youngstown State University in Ohio.


Sonia "Sunny" Franklin
VP Talent Asset Management


Sunny is a successful strategic Human Resources executive with high ethical standards and proven accomplishments in transforming business and culture to maximize revenues and profit through people. She has the ability to identify talent, develop leadership capabilities and increase employee engagement to drive sustainable growth.

Sunny comes to Benchmark Brands with over 15 years of experience in working in variety industries such as: Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Insurance. She has held several key leadership roles with focus on Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Diversity/Inclusion, Business Partner, Employee Engagement, Mentoring and Leadership Development.

Sunny holds a BS, Business Administration & HR from Roosevelt University, Chicago, IL and a MA, Human Resources Development from Webster University, St. Louis, MO
